Birthday parties
Small Parties
We bring about 8-10 animals to your party. We'll tell the kids all about each animal and then let them touch. We'll also have time for photos at the end. The birthday child gets a 3D printed reptile as a gift from us. You have an option to buy extra stuffed snakes or 3D printed reptiles as gifts for your party guests. The presentation generally lasts about an hour. This is more of our educational type program that we customize based on the ages in attendance. It is also our most popular party option.
Price starts at 250. It does go up depending on distance from rescue (onslow, coastal pender, coastal new hanover, and leland are 300, locations over 50 miles from the rescue will go up)

Some months, such as April and October, will have very limited availability for parties. During any time of year, we prefer to book parties for weekdays or Sundays whenever possible.
Larger Parties
Larger outdoor parties are the perfect place for our mobile unit. The trailer is almost 40ft long with the back door open and we also leave the truck attached so we'll need a lot of clearance. We also need to be able to get in and out pretty easily. The trailer brings 28 animals for all the kids and parents to come aboard and learn about. After everyone comes on, we'll bring a select few out for photos and touching. The birthday child gets a 3D printed reptile from us. Stuffed snakes are permanently on the door of the trailer so they are available for sale to other guests if they'd like to buy, as well as our shirts and other merchandise which are normally carried on the trailer. We don't solicit sales at a private party but we're happy to sell if the parents want to buy. For some events, we can remove these items and not sell, please discuss that with us ahead of time. We come for at least an hour. We can be the main attraction or we can just have the trailer open for the kids to come aboard as they please, this works best if there are other things to do also like bouncy houses. The trailer may not be available in months that are too hot or cold, and cannot operate in the rain.

Community events
Fresh Start Rescue would love to bring our mobile unit to your community event. Since we are a non-profit we ask for a free or discounted space and the right to sell our items and solicit donations. You can also hire us at the private party price for shorter (up to 2 hour events) where you'd rather we don't sell. As a non-profit, we also have a donation jar out. We will need enough room to get in, open up all the doors, and get back out.
EDUCATION
Fresh Start Rescue is all about helping to educate the children of our community. We want all children's groups to be able to book a presentation so we have different prices for different groups. These are smaller class type presentations without the trailer. The fee we charge for these classes goes directly to the care of the rescue animals. NO CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER OR APRIL.
Public Schools
We know budgets are non-existent in public schools. So all we ask is for a donation. You can donate money or cleaning supplies. Many teachers have asked children to bring in a roll of paper towels or other cleaning supplies. We go through a lot of cleaning supplies here and this is the best way for us to not only give back to the schools but have the schools help us. Some teachers have even done a penny war with other classes. We get the donation, the winning class gets a party, and all of them get to see the reptiles. Please also ask us about STEM nights or career days. Some schools may be too far for us to do them by supply donation only, for those further schools you may want to talk with the PTA, the administration, or even the class parents to see if there are funds to cover our travel.

We can discuss a supply drive to cover the donation if needed. We are limited in how far we can travel for these types of programs and how many of them we can schedule each month.
