Wheat bran is the perfect substrate for mealworms and superworms. They live in it and eat it. We keep all of ours in wheat bran while they are here. A small bag usually lasts quite some time depending on how many worms you have and sometimes finding small bags can be hard or expensive.
Now you can get 6 oz of our wheat bran in a deli cup shipped to you with your bugs. Your insects will normally come in a bag with newspaper. When you get them, put them in a container they cannot climb out of, remove the newspaper, add in the wheat bran and feed carrots/potatoes or other veg every few days. Keep your worms cool for longer life.
