Thinking of Adopting?
Unlike dogs and cats, reptiles require specialized care and may not be suitable for everyone. The animals we have taken in have all either been abused in some way or given up because they were no longer wanted. These animals deserve the chance to live a long healthy life in a forever home. Therefore, all of our volunteers are dedicated to making sure these animals go to the right home, who is ready, willing and able to properly care for them for life.
ADOPTION PROCESS...
Fill out an adoption application completely, your answers should include brands and as much info as possible.
We will take a few days to check your application before we contact you to move forward.
You will then be asked for photos of your current animals and enclosures and/or photos of the enclosure you plan to use for the new animal. This is how we do our virtual house checks now. It is important for us to see how you keep your current animals. No one will be approved without this step. This does not mean you need to set up an enclosure before applying, but it will be required before you pickup an animal.
Based on photos and application answers, you will be approved or denied.
If approved, you MUST have a proper set up ready before taking home an animal.
At adoption, you will need to sign the adoption contract which includes a NO BREEDING and NO SELLING clause.
There is an adoption fee to help with our expenses. The fee is listed on each animal's bio below.
We are happy to adopt out of state but you MUST drive here to get the animal, no animals are ever shipped.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER FOR EMAILS FROM THE RESCUE! EMAILS WILL ALWAYS COME FROM FRESHSTARTRESCUEINC@GMAIL.COM OR INFO@FRESHSTARTRESCUEINC.ORG
Sponsor One of Our Adoptables
Click on the Sponsor US button to set up a recurring monthly sponsorship of any of our adoptable or ambassador animals. Each of these reptiles are given an initial evaluation, some undergo fecal tests and vet care, and then each of them requires a proper diet, heat bulbs, uvb lighting, enrichment, and more. Sponsoring an adoptable animal helps ease the financial burden on the rescue, and allows us to spend more time caring for the animals and less time worrying about fundraising.
We use GiveButter for all our recurring donations. Please Read the instructions carefully before submitting your payment. Your sponsorship continues monthly until you cancel it.
GECKOS
Geky - Leopard Gecko
-
Geky is a mellow male leopard gecko whose exact age is unknown, but we know he was already over 3 years old when he came to us—so he's definitely a grown-up guy. He originally came from one home, then another, and eventually landed here when his most recent owner went off to college. Now he’s looking for a stable, permanent place to call home.
Geky is a little picky with food, but he’s getting better. He’s also still working on his comfort with handling—not defensive, just a little unsure—but he’s making good progress with regular, gentle interaction.
Like all leopard geckos, Geky is most active in the afternoons and enjoys relaxing in his hides and exploring when things are quiet. He will need a proper habitat with UVB lighting, stable heat, and a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time.
If you're looking for a calm, slightly shy companion with lots of potential, Geky might be the perfect little housemate.

Rocket - Leopard Gecko
-
Rocket has been through a lot—but he’s come out the other side as a sweet, gentle gecko who’s ready for a forever home that can keep up with his special care.
He came to us in rough shape, suffering from severely impacted hemipenes and a nasty eye infection. While recovering, poor Rocket even dropped his tail, but like a true champ, he pushed through it all. It took months to fully clear up his eyes, and while he’s doing great now, he may have recurring issues in the future that will require close monitoring.
Despite everything, Rocket is incredibly well-mannered, calm, and eager at mealtime. He loves to eat and handles well—he just needs an experienced adopter who can provide good UVB and humidity and can keep an eye on his health.
If you’ve got the heart and experience to care for a gecko with a bit of a medical past (and a big appetite), Rocket is ready to win you over—one bug at a time.

Chewi - Crested Gecko
-
Chewi is a male Crested Gecko estimated to be around 6 years old, and unlike some geckos, he has some very strong opinions about personal space.
With his full tail still intact and his alert expression, Chewi is a handsome little gecko who enjoys the finer things in life: good food, comfortable hiding spots, and climbing to the highest point he can find. He's always happy to explore his enclosure and keep an eye on everything happening around him.
Handling, however, is not at the top of his list of favorite activities. Chewi will tolerate being held for short periods, but if he decides he's had enough, he's not afraid to give a quick nip to express his feelings. Fortunately, these bites are usually more surprising than serious and are simply his way of saying, "I'd rather be back in my enclosure, thank you."
Despite his occasional sass, Chewi is a healthy, active gecko that does well in a properly set up habitat. He would be happiest in a home that respects his boundaries and appreciates him for the independent little dinosaur that he is.
If you're looking for a display animal with plenty of personality and don't mind a gecko who likes to make his own rules, Chewi may be the perfect match.

Leo - Leopard Gecko
-
Leo is a lovely 5-year-old female leopard gecko who’s found herself back in our care through no fault of her own. She was adopted a few years ago and is now looking for a second chance at a forever home. While she’s currently a bit timid with handling, we believe she’ll settle back in beautifully once she has time to adjust to a new family.
Like all leopard geckos, Leo is most active in the afternoons, spending much of her day tucked away in a cozy hide and emerging when things quiet down. She has a gentle demeanor and would do well in a calm home with someone willing to take things at her pace.
Leo will need a proper habitat setup that includes UVB lighting, warm and cool hides, and a healthy diet of insects. With the right care, leopard geckos can live 20+ years, so Leo still has plenty of time to thrive in a loving home.
If you’re ready to offer patience, consistency, and a cozy corner of your heart, Leo could be the perfect little companion.

Mushu - Leopard Gecko
-
Mushu is a 6-year-old female leopard gecko who loves her quiet time and takes "low-key" to expert levels. Like most leopard geckos, she’ll spend her daylight hours tucked away in a hide, but when the lights dim and food shows up? Mushu perks right up!
She’s a little squirmy with handling, so she’ll need a patient adopter willing to work with her gently and consistently. That said, she’s very enthusiastic about food and is always excited when snacks are involved.
Leopard geckos like Mushu can live 20+ years with proper care. We do require a UVB setup for all leopard gecko adoptions to support long-term health. Mushu would do best in a calm environment with plenty of cozy hides, gentle interaction, and a patient person who can help her feel secure.
If you're ready to bond with a beautiful little bug-eater who’s got her shy moments but a big appetite, Mushu could be your perfect nighttime pal.

Frito - Leopard Gecko
-
Frito is a beautiful female Leopard Gecko estimated to be around 8 years old. While she may not be the first one to rush up and say hello, she has a quiet charm that makes her easy to love.
A naturally shy girl, Frito prefers to take her time getting to know new people and situations. She's much happier observing the world from the safety of a favorite hide than being the center of attention. Once she feels secure, however, her sweet personality begins to shine through.
Like any respectable Leopard Gecko, Frito has a serious appreciation for bugs and is always happy when mealtime arrives. She has been doing well in rescue care and enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a warm basking spot, a cozy hide, and a steady supply of tasty insects.
Frito would do best in a home that understands that not every pet wants to be the life of the party. She's perfect for someone who appreciates a more reserved companion and enjoys watching natural reptile behaviors unfold at their own pace.
If you're looking for a gentle, low-key gecko who prefers a quiet life and good food over fame and fortune, Frito may be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption Fee: $50
Copper - Crested Gecko
-
Copper is a male Crested Gecko estimated to be around 5 years old, and if there were a competition for "Most Likely to Be a Reptile Ambassador," he'd be a strong contender.
Unlike some geckos who would prefer to remain hidden and avoid all human interaction, Copper is comfortable being handled and has even participated in educational events, helping people learn about reptiles and overcome common misconceptions. His calm demeanor and easygoing nature make him a wonderful representative for his species.
At some point in his life, Copper dropped his tail, giving him the classic "frog-butt" appearance that many Crested Gecko enthusiasts know and love.
Copper enjoys the things most Crested Geckos love: climbing, exploring, finding a good place to relax, and, of course, mealtime. He has done well in rescue care and would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a gecko with a steady temperament and a little extra confidence.
Whether he's helping introduce people to the world of reptiles or simply relaxing in his enclosure, Copper is proof that geckos can have plenty of personality packed into a small package.
If you're looking for a friendly, easygoing Crested Gecko who doesn't mind being the center of attention every now and then, Copper may be the perfect addition to your family.

Nessie - Leopard Gecko
-
Nessie may not be the famous lake monster, but he has certainly mastered the art of getting attention. This handsome male Leopard Gecko is estimated to be around 5 years old and has never met a bug he didn't like.
Curious, active, and always ready to see what's going on, Nessie is the type of gecko who likes to be involved in the action. Whether he's exploring his enclosure, hunting down insects, or checking out what his humans are doing, he keeps life interesting.
Nessie enjoys attention and handles well, making him a great choice for someone looking for a reptile with a little personality. He has a healthy appetite, loves his bugs, and has all the charm that makes Leopard Geckos such popular pets.
Like all Leopard Geckos, Nessie will require proper heating, supplementation, and UVB lighting to thrive. In return, he'll provide years of entertainment with his expressive face, active nature, and endless enthusiasm for mealtime.
If you're looking for a friendly little lizard who is equal parts adorable and entertaining, Nessie may be your perfect match.
Birthdate: 2021, here since 1/2026
Adoption Fee: $50
Wafer - Crested Gecko
-
Wafer is a handsome male Crested Gecko estimated to be around 5 years old. Like many cresties, he's convinced that the best parts of life involve good food, plenty of places to climb, and absolutely no unnecessary drama.
Wafer is on the shy side and prefers to take things at his own pace. While he tolerates necessary handling, being carried around isn't high on his list of favorite activities. He would much rather spend his time exploring branches, hiding among leaves, or finding the perfect spot to watch the world from above.
Unlike some Crested Geckos, Wafer has managed to keep his tail, giving him the complete classic crestie look.
Crested Geckos make wonderful pets for people who enjoy observing natural behaviors and creating beautiful, enriching habitats. Wafer would thrive in a home that respects his more reserved personality and appreciates him for the tree-dwelling little dragon that he is.
If you're looking for a low-key companion who enjoys climbing, snacking, and minding his own business, Wafer may be the perfect gecko for you.

Buddy - Leopard Gecko
-
Buddy is a 5-year-old leopard gecko who came in with some pretty tough medical issues: an eye infection and impacted hemipenes. His previous owner tried her best but wasn’t able to keep up with the care he needed due to her own health struggles.
Fast-forward to now, and Buddy is doing fantastic. His eyes are clear, and he’s back to being a happy little bug-powered leo. He’s incredibly sweet, easy to handle, and full of that quiet charm leopard geckos are famous for.
Buddy’s story is one of resilience, good care, and a whole lot of heart. Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can enjoy a healthy, easy life — full of warmth, snacks, and someone who appreciates just how special he is.

Harley - Crested Gecko
-
Harley is a female Crested Gecko estimated to be around 6 years old, and if she had a motto, it would probably be, "If I can't see you, you can't see me."
This shy girl prefers a quiet life spent tucked away in her favorite hiding spots. While many Crested Geckos enjoy climbing and showing off from high perches, Harley would much rather find a cozy place to disappear for the day. Don't take it personally—she simply values her privacy.
Despite her reserved nature, Harley handles well when necessary and has a calm temperament. She isn't the type of gecko that seeks attention, but she tolerates interactions politely and without fuss.
Harley is a good eater when it comes to her Crested Gecko diet and is always happy when dinner arrives. Unlike some cresties, insects are not her thing. She prefers to leave the bug hunting to someone else and stick with the foods she knows and loves.
Harley would be a wonderful fit for someone who appreciates a quieter pet and enjoys creating a beautiful, naturalistic habitat. She may spend much of her time hidden from view, but for the right person, spotting Harley out and about feels like discovering a rare treasure.
If you're looking for a low-key companion who values peace, privacy, and a good meal, Harley may be the perfect gecko for you.

BEARDED DRAGONS
HEALTH WARNING***** As of 2023, all bearded dragons are being tested for Atadenovirus (ADV) upon intake. This is, unfortunately, common in captive bearded dragons now, but it is still contagious to any beardie that may be negative. This disease can cause liver damage over the years and a shortened lifespan; however, some dragons can also live a full life without ever developing issues. Some owners do have positive beardies in their homes with negative beardies, but it requires very strict precautions to make sure the virus does not spread. We cannot guarantee positive beardies won't develop health issues related to the virus or from having a compromised immune system.
***** All bearded dragons who have tested negative are not guaranteed to be negative. It is possible that the beardie was not shedding the virus in the sample tested. For a true negative, the beardie will need to be tested 2-3 times over the span of a few months. If several tests come back negative, you can assume they are actually negative.
Nessie
-
Don’t let the age fool you — Nessie has absolutely no idea he’s a “senior.” This guy is bursting with energy, opinions, and an unshakable sense of self-importance. He came to us when his former humans realized that frequent work travel just didn’t mesh with the needs of a full-time lizard king.
Nessie is a proud, black-bearded machine who reacts to basically everything with dramatic flair. You, a leaf, a shadow, his own reflection? They all get the beard. He demands to be the only dragon in the kingdom — no roommates, no rivals, no sharing his humans.
If you’re looking for a lively little lizard with a big personality and zero tolerance for disrespect (real or imagined), Nessie’s your guy. Throne (i.e., proper enclosure), heat lamp, and loyal subjects required.
Nessie is positive for ADV but shows no signs of illness

Dexter
-
Meet Dexter, a healthy, handsome bearded dragon with a strong personality and zero interest in being your cuddle buddy—at least not yet. At around 3 years old, he’s in the prime of his “teenage lizard” phase and has big opinions about being handled (spoiler: he’s not a fan).
Dexter is super active, eats like a champ, and spends his days running laps around his enclosure like he’s training for the Olympics. He won’t aggressively come after you (well… usually), but he’ll absolutely run, puff, and gape if you try to pick him up. Once in your hands, he’ll flatten like a drama queen and open his mouth in protest. It’s mostly bluff—but he really commits to it.
With time, consistency, and the right kind of patient, experienced owner, Dexter should mellow out as most beardies do with age. He just needs someone who can work with him respectfully and isn’t expecting a lap lizard on day one.
If you’re looking for a healthy, high-energy dragon with loads of personality and you’ve got the patience to help him reach his potential, Dexter might be your guy. Just don’t take it personally when he gives you the stink-eye.
Dexter is positive for ADV but shows no sign of illness currently.

Manny
-
Manny is a young male Bearded Dragon estimated to be around a year old, and despite having a rough start in life, he has never let it dampen his cheerful attitude.
Manny came to Fresh Start Rescue through Animal Control with a significantly swollen front limb. Since arriving, he has received veterinary care, including testing for gout, as well as treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. While the swelling has improved somewhat, the limb remains larger than normal. At this point, it may simply be a condition that requires ongoing monitoring rather than something that can be fully corrected.
The good news is that Manny doesn't seem to care one bit.
His enlarged limb does not slow him down, affect his appetite, or keep him from enjoying life. He gets around well, eats enthusiastically, and approaches each day with the curiosity and confidence that young Bearded Dragons are known for.
One of Manny's best qualities is his temperament. For a young dragon, he is remarkably calm, friendly, and easy to work with. He enjoys attention, handles well, and has all the makings of an excellent lifelong companion. As he continues to grow and mature, we expect him to become an even more wonderful pet.
Manny is looking for a family that can see beyond his imperfect arm and appreciate the happy dragon underneath. His condition may make him a little different, but it certainly doesn't define him.
If you're looking for a young Bearded Dragon with a sweet personality, a bright future, and a resilience that inspires everyone who meets him, and you are willing and able to provide any future medical care his leg may need, Manny may be the perfect addition to your family.
Manny is positive for ADV but shows no sign of illness currently.

Demarest
-
Demarest didn’t just arrive—she made an entrance. This bold girl was found running loose as a stray, and while her adventure cost her part of a foot, it didn’t slow her down one bit. She moves around just fine, keeps a strong appetite, and has big opinions about anything that enters her space (Hint: she thinks it’s food).
Demarest is highly food motivated and believes everything should be inspected for snack potential—including fingers. While she’s not aggressive, she’s quick and enthusiastic when it’s mealtime, so we recommend a home without small children or with adults who understand proper boundaries. Once she’s out of her enclosure, she’s much more relaxed—she’ll tolerate a few minutes of cuddling, but then she’s off to explore like the queen she is.
Demarest would thrive in a home where she can be spoiled with heat, snacks, and the spotlight. She’s got personality, presence, and just the right amount of sass.
Looking for a lizard who rules her domain with a regal side-eye and a healthy appetite? Demarest is ready for her throne.
Demarest did test negative for ADV twice.

Toothless
-
Toothless is a male Bearded Dragon estimated to be around 4 years old, and while he's undeniably handsome, he would like everyone to know that he has absolutely no interest in being friends with the other reptiles.
Toothless originally came to Fresh Start Rescue because of a medical issue that required monitoring. Thankfully, those problems are now behind him, and he's healthy, active, and ready to find a home of his own.
When it comes to food, Toothless is an enthusiastic eater. In fact, he gets so excited about mealtime that he often charges straight through his food before deciding what to eat first. Subtlety is not one of his strengths.
Toothless has plenty of personality and isn't shy about sharing his opinions. He's active, curious, and always wants to know what's going on around him. However, he has one very firm rule: he does not appreciate seeing other animals. Whether it's another reptile or something else entirely, Toothless prefers to be the star of the show and would rather not share the spotlight.
While he may be a bit of a troublemaker, his larger-than-life personality is exactly what many Bearded Dragon lovers adore. He's entertaining, expressive, and never leaves you wondering what he's thinking.
If you're looking for a Bearded Dragon with confidence, character, and just a touch of lovable chaos, Toothless may be the perfect addition to your family. Just don't tell him there are other animals in the house.
Toothless is positive for ADV but shows no sign of illness currently.

Ziggy
-
Ziggy is a young bearded dragon, under 2 years old, with a lot of personality packed into her round little body. She has a special situation: she can’t use her back legs and needs a little help when it’s bathroom time. Despite this, she gets around in her own unique way and has plenty of spunk to share.
She’s not a fan of salads (classic Ziggy) but will absolutely light up at the sight of bugs. Because she can’t climb or navigate complex setups safely, she needs a simple enclosure with minimal obstacles — the fewer things she can topple off, the better.
If you’re looking for a young, lively dragon who thrives with gentle care and a little extra attention, Ziggy is ready to meet someone patient, loving, and excited to give her a safe, happy home.
Ziggy has tested negative for ADV one time, she will need to be tested again.Birthdate: 2024, here since 7/2025
Adoption Fee: $50
Mushu
-
Mushu is a male Bearded Dragon estimated to be around 6 years old, and he approaches life with one simple philosophy: if it moves, it might be food.
This high-energy dragon is always on the go and always looking for his next adventure—or his next snack. Mushu is incredibly curious and wants to investigate everything happening around him. Unfortunately, his enthusiasm sometimes gets ahead of his judgment, which means fingers occasionally get mistaken for menu items.
When it's time for feeding, Mushu wastes no time. Open the enclosure door and there's a good chance he'll be trying to launch himself out to see what's going on. He's active, bold, and always convinced something exciting is happening nearby.
Mushu could also benefit from some additional handling and socialization. He's not aggressive, but he is impulsive, energetic, and tends to act first and think later. With patience and consistency, he has the potential to become a wonderful companion for someone willing to put in a little extra time.
Like any self-respecting dragon, Mushu also believes housekeeping is someone else's responsibility. He has absolutely no problem turning a freshly cleaned enclosure into a disaster zone in record time.
Mushu would do best with an adopter who appreciates a reptile with a big personality and doesn't mind a little chaos. He's entertaining, curious, food-motivated, and guaranteed to keep life interesting.
If you're looking for a Bearded Dragon that's equal parts lovable, mischievous, and completely convinced the world revolves around him, Mushu may be the perfect dragon for you.
Mushu is positive for ADV but shows no sign of illness currently.

Coconut
-
Coconut is a tiny, gentle soul with a big love for basking and bug snacks. At around 5 years old, she’s much smaller than the average bearded dragon due to improper lighting during her early years—but don’t let her size fool you: she’s full of quiet charm.
Coconut is a bit shy and still learning that people aren’t so scary. She’s not aggressive or defensive—just cautious. With time and patient interaction, she could become a confident little companion. For now, she’s happiest perched on her basking platform, watching the world go by like a scaly little queen.
While Coconut isn’t a huge fan of salads (who can blame her?), she never turns down a good insect. She’ll thrive in a calm home with proper lighting, heat, and someone who understands the slower pace of building trust with a more reserved dragon.
If you're looking for a sweet, low-drama lizard who just wants a sunny spot and some snacks, Coconut might be your perfect little perch potato.
Coconut is positive for ADV but shows no signs of illness.

Lazarus
-
Lazarus is a large male Bearded Dragon with an even bigger heart. At roughly 4 years old, Lazarus has the kind of easygoing personality that makes people fall in love with bearded dragons in the first place.
Unlike some dragons who believe every interaction is a personal challenge, Lazarus genuinely enjoys attention and would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family. Whether he's supervising household activities, lounging in a favorite basking spot, or simply hanging out with his people, Lazarus is happiest when he's included in the action.
He handles well and has a calm, steady demeanor that makes him a great candidate for someone looking for a companion rather than just a display pet. While he still enjoys all the normal bearded dragon activities—eating, basking, and occasionally rearranging his enclosure to his liking—his favorite thing is spending time with people.
Lazarus is a wonderful example of why Bearded Dragons have become one of the most popular pet reptiles in the world. Friendly, personable, and full of character, he's the kind of dragon that quickly becomes a beloved member of the family.
If you're looking for a larger dragon who enjoys attention and would happily soak up all the affection you're willing to give, Lazarus may be the perfect addition to your home.
Lazarus is negative for ADV but will need further testing to be sure.

OTHER LIZARDS
Mali Uromastyx
-
This charming desert dweller came to us two years ago after a breakup left him in need of a new home — and he's been putting in the work ever since. For the past two years, he’s served as a proud ambassador for his species, teaching everyone he meets just how awesome (and underrated) a Uromastyx really is. Now, after a solid career in outreach, he's ready for a well-deserved retirement in a calm, loving forever home.
He’s about 5 years old, loves his salad, and has strong opinions about which veggies are worth his time. Dry seeds and lentils? Pass. Squash? Meh. Fresh leafy greens? Yes, please. While he's not a fan of being handled, he’ll happily lounge under his heat lamp and keep a judgmental eye on your salad prep from a distance.
If you’ve got a warm, spacious setup and a passion for lizard-specific salad presentation, this mellow little sun worshiper might be the perfect addition to your life.

Ruby - Uromastyx Geyri
-
Ruby is a striking female Saharan uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri) with bold coloration and a dignified demeanor. Estimated to be between 7 and 9 years old, she came to us after being well cared for by a previous owner, who adopted her as an adult from a breeder. Ruby has a noticeable scar on one arm from a past injury, but it doesn’t affect her mobility or behavior.
She’s not interested in being handled and strongly prefers to be admired from a distance (queen behavior, honestly). Ruby is active in her enclosure, enjoys basking, and loves to dig and rearrange her space. While she has a healthy appetite, she is particular about her food—especially with seeds and lentils, which she will often turn down in favor of fresh greens and more familiar items.
Uromastyx are a species that require advanced care, including very high basking temperatures, strong UVB lighting, and a carefully monitored herbivorous diet. With a potential lifespan of 15–20+ years, Ruby is looking for a knowledgeable, committed home that can meet her unique needs and respect her independent nature.
If you’re an experienced reptile keeper ready to give Ruby the space, heat, and greens she needs, she’ll bring a steady and fascinating presence to your home.

BALL PYTHONS
Bella
-
Bella is a lovely Ball Python estimated to be around 12 years old. While her sex has not been formally confirmed, she is believed to be female. With her calm nature and easygoing personality, Bella is the kind of snake that quickly wins people over.
Like many Ball Pythons, Bella can be a little shy at first and appreciates having a secure place to retreat when she wants some privacy. Once she's comfortable, however, she handles very well and is content to spend time exploring at her own pace.
Bella has a healthy appetite and has been doing well in rescue care. She enjoys a predictable routine, cozy hiding spots, and all the simple comforts that make Ball Pythons feel safe and secure.
Ball Pythons are known for their gentle temperaments and manageable care requirements, making them one of the most popular pet snake species in the world. Bella is a wonderful example of why. She may not demand attention, but she has a quiet charm that makes her a joy to have around.
If you're looking for a sweet, steady companion with plenty of life ahead of her, Bella may be the perfect addition to your family.

Piglet
-
Piglet is a 3-year-old female ball python who’s as adorable as her name suggests. She’s a fantastic eater—never one to turn down a frozen/thawed meal—and thrives on a regular feeding schedule.
When it comes to handling, Piglet can be a little shy at first--she just prefers a gentle, patient approach. With time and calm interaction, she’s likely to become a confident and relaxed companion.
Ball pythons like Piglet can live 30+ years, so she’s still in the early stages of what could be a very long, peaceful partnership. She’ll need a proper setup with stable temps, humidity, and a cozy place to feel secure.
If you’re looking for a quiet, well-behaved ball python who just needs a little time to come out of her shell, Piglet could be the perfect match.

Celeste
-
Meet Celeste: a stunning, sleek 10-year-old ball python with a real zest for life—and for snacks. She’s not what we’d call aggressive… but let’s just say she has strong culinary interests, and she occasionally mistakes fingers for frozen rats. Oops.
Celeste is an active, curious snake who’s always out and about in her enclosure. She’s got the personality of an extrovert and the appetite of a vacuum. Because of her enthusiasm for food (and, occasionally, humans), she’s best suited for an experienced keeper who can read snake behavior and owns a long pair of feeding tongs.
She’s currently on frozen/thawed rats, but let’s be honest—she’d probably try to eat a sandwich if you left one too close. Sex is unconfirmed, but what we do know is this: Celeste is beautiful, bold, and built for a bigger enclosure, where she can stretch out, explore, and plot her next meal in peace.
If you love a confident, curious snake with a tiny bit of chaos energy, Celeste is ready to steal your heart… and maybe your hand.

Ball 5
-
Ball 5 may not have a real name yet, but he’s already earned a reputation as one of the sweetest snakes in our care. This adult-sized ball python came to us after being abandoned—along with several others—in a rental property. He arrived under multiple layers of stuck shed, but after some much-needed TLC, he’s now shedding properly and handling beautifully.
While we don’t have any background or age information, Ball 5 is clearly an adult and is in good condition. He’s a gentle and shy snake who handles very well. Like some other ball pythons, he’s also a picky eater—his favorite meal is frozen/thawed chicks, though he will occasionally accept an ASF rat. He rarely strikes at it but will always take your food offering when left alone. Future adopters should be comfortable catering to his preferred diet and quirks.
As with all ball pythons, Ball 5 is nocturnal and will thrive in a quiet, secure environment with proper heat, humidity, and hiding options. Ball pythons can live 30 years or more, so this sweet, soft-spoken snake is a long-term commitment—but one that will reward you with years of quiet companionship.
If you're patient, kind, and not afraid to serve up a fancy dinner, Ball 5 could be the perfect low-key addition to your reptile family

Medusa
-
Don't let the name fool you—Medusa is far more sweet than scary. Estimated to be around 4 years old and believed to be female, Medusa is a gentle Ball Python with a calm personality and excellent manners.
One of the first things people notice about Medusa is her size. Despite being an adult, she is quite petite compared to most Ball Pythons her age. While we don't know exactly why, she has remained healthy, active, and a reliable eater in rescue care.
Medusa handles well and is comfortable being held, making her a wonderful choice for someone looking for a calm and easygoing snake. Like most Ball Pythons, she appreciates having secure hiding spots and a predictable routine, but she's never one to cause trouble.
She has a healthy appetite, sheds well, and has been thriving while in our care. Her smaller size may make her unique, but she still has all the charm and personality that make Ball Pythons such beloved pets.
If you're looking for a sweet, low-key companion with a unique story and a gentle disposition, Medusa may be the perfect snake for you. Sometimes the best things really do come in small packages.

Darrell
-
Darrell is a mature, thoughtful ball python who’s come a long way during his time with us. At around 10 years old, he arrived shy and unsure about handling—but with patience and consistent care, he’s really opened up. These days, he’s often spotted exploring his enclosure, even during the day, and has become much more comfortable with gentle interaction.
While Darrell can still be a little timid at times, he handles it well and responds best to calm, confident handling. He’s a great example of how even "older" snakes can continue to settle and grow more social with time and trust.
Like all ball pythons, Darrell is nocturnal, prefers a stable environment with plenty of hiding spots, and has a potential lifespan of 30+ years. He would do well with someone who understands snake body language and can continue giving him the quiet, respectful care he’s learned to thrive under.
If you’re looking for a steady, low-key companion who’s already done the hard work of settling in, Darrell might be your perfect match.

Eugene
-
Eugene is a calm, easy-to-handle male ball python with a particular palate. At around 4 years old, he’s still a young adult with plenty of life ahead—ball pythons can live 30+ years with proper care, making them a long-term commitment.
Eugene is a picky eater who prefers frozen/thawed chicks and will only occasionally accept an ASF rat. Anyone considering adopting Eugene should be prepared to provide his preferred diet and keep a consistent feeding routine. He handles well and is generally calm, making him a great fit for someone who understands the quirks of selective eaters.
As a nocturnal species, ball pythons are most active at night and appreciate a quiet, low-stress environment during the day. Eugene will require a secure enclosure with proper temperature gradients, humidity, and hiding spots to feel safe and thrive.
If you're looking for a low-drama snake with a high-end palate and a gentle disposition, Eugene might just be your guy!

Spooky
-
Spooky is an adult ball python who decided that walking (well… slithering) is overrated and hitched a ride by hiding out under someone’s car hood. Animal control was called, and thankfully this little adventurer was safely retrieved before the road trip got too exciting.
We don’t know Spooky’s age or sex, but we do know this: she loves food, handles wonderfully, and has perfected the art of being shy, calm, and sleepy. Honestly, if Spooky isn’t eating, she's probably napping. This is a snake with priorities.
If you’re looking for a chill, easygoing buddy with a fun origin story and a fondness for both snacks and snoozes, Spooky might be your perfect match. She's had enough unexpected adventures — now she's ready for a forever home that’s cozy, safe, and car-engine-free.

Orion
-
Orion is your classic ball python: calm, low-key, and happiest when napping in a cozy hide. This unsexed adult came to us with no background after being abandoned in a home with other animals, but he’s adjusted well to rescue life and is ready for a fresh start in a forever home.
Orion handles well, isn’t overly shy, and is a great eater—he happily takes frozen/thawed rats and is right on track with his feeding schedule. Like most ball pythons, he spends his days curled up and snoozing and becomes more active after dark. He enjoys a stable, quiet environment and doesn’t require much beyond the basics—heat, humidity, security, and regular meals.
Ball pythons like Orion can live for 30+ years, making them a long-term companion. He’d be a great fit for someone looking for a chill, easygoing snake—whether you're a first-time keeper or adding another calm face to your collection.
If you’ve got a cozy enclosure and a steady supply of frozen rats, Orion is ready to settle in and snooze the years away with you.

Ball 1
-
This handsome adult ball python came to us through animal control after being left behind with several other animals when his owner just left. We don’t know his age or sex, and we don’t know his backstory — but what we do know is that none of that was his fault, and he deserves someone who will actually stick around for him.
He can get a little overenthusiastic at mealtimes, but outside of food mode he handles well and settles nicely. Despite everything, he’s calm, resilient, and ready for a home that treats him like a family member, not an afterthought.
Ball pythons can live for decades with proper care, so this guy has plenty of life left to enjoy. He’s looking for a loving forever home that won’t leave him behind when life gets complicated — a home where he’s wanted, safe, and finally home for good.

Boddie
-
Boddie showed up uninvited in someone’s yard like he owned the place—and honestly, we respect the confidence. With no background, no confirmed sex, and no idea how old he is, Boddie is a bit of a mystery, but what we do know is that he’s a pretty chill snake with a healthy appetite and a solid personality.
He’s an adult-sized ball python who rarely turns down a meal (frozen/thawed rats preferred) and generally handles well. That said, Boddie can be a little opinionated if you catch him in a mood—but who isn’t? With a stable routine and some gentle respect for his space, he’s easy to get along with.
Like all ball pythons, Boddie is nocturnal, enjoys a cozy hide, and could live 30+ years—so don’t let his surprise origin story fool you. He’s ready to settle down and live his best indoor life with a keeper who appreciates a little mystery and a lot of appetite.
Got space for a low-key legend with yard-snake energy? Boddie’s ready for his second act.

Dr. Hiss
-
Introducing the very distinguished (and very shy) Dr. Hiss. This 6-year-old male ball python came to us after being surrendered to a county animal shelter, and while he may be quiet, he has all the charm of a seasoned professional in the art of hiding.
Dr. Hiss is super shy—even by ball python standards—and prefers a calm, low-traffic environment where he can feel secure and take things at his own pace. Despite his reserved personality, he eats well most of the year, though he has a habit of putting himself on a “winter diet” to maintain his svelte figure. (We respect the self-control.)
As a ball python, Dr. Hiss is nocturnal, enjoys having plenty of hides to disappear into, and thrives with proper temperature and humidity control. With a potential lifespan of 30+ years, he’s a long-term companion best suited for someone who appreciates the quiet beauty of these gentle snakes and is patient enough to let his personality unfold in time.
If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key snake with excellent manners and a flair for modesty, Dr. Hiss might just be the right fit for your reptile roster.

OTHER SNAKES
Satan - Boa
-
Yes, his name is actually Satan — and no, we didn’t name him that ourselves. But… he kind of lives up to it.
Satan is a small Central American boa who makes up for his size with a big personality and zero patience for sudden movements. He’s not one for cuddles or casual handling (yet) and will happily strike first and ask questions later. He’s looking for a brave, experienced handler who’s not afraid of a little sass and is willing to put in the time to work with him at his own pace.
Despite his spicy streak, Satan has some lovable quirks—he’s an excellent eater, enjoys climbing enrichment, and loves to bury himself dramatically in his substrate. He’s not expected to get any bigger, but he is expected to keep being a whole lot of snake in a small package.
Sex not verified. Enclosure must be secure (obviously), and adopters must have previous experience with defensive or higher-energy boas.
Think you’re tough enough to give Satan a loving (and totally judgment-free) home? He dares you to fill out the application!

Grimm MBK
-
Grimm is a male Mexican Black Kingsnake estimated to be around 4 years old, and he takes his job as a kingsnake very seriously. That job primarily consists of three things: finding food, exploring absolutely everything, and occasionally testing the security of his enclosure.
Like many kingsnakes, Grimm has an impressive appetite and is always convinced that mealtime should happen more often than it does. If food is involved, he is ready to participate immediately and enthusiastically.
Grimm is also exceptionally talented at finding escape routes. Whether he's investigating a loose corner, testing a latch, or simply seeing what's on the other side of a barrier, he's always looking for his next adventure. Because of this, he will require a secure enclosure and an owner who understands that kingsnakes are often far more clever than they appear.
Handling Grimm can best be described as an interactive experience. He isn't defensive, but like many kingsnakes, he rarely sits still for long. He's constantly on the move, exploring, climbing, and investigating anything within reach...maybe tasting a finger or two. Adopters who enjoy the active, curious nature of kingsnakes will appreciate his personality, while those looking for a snake that stays curled up quietly may find him a bit more challenging.
Mexican Black Kingsnakes are known for their intelligence, hardy nature, and striking appearance, and Grimm is no exception. Beneath his glossy dark scales is a snake full of curiosity, confidence, and just enough sass to keep life interesting.
If you're an experienced keeper looking for a beautiful, active snake with plenty of personality, Grimm may be the perfect addition to your family.

Mercury - Hognose
-
Hognose #11 is a beautiful young western hognose who came to us as part of a large surrender after her owner passed away. She may be petite, but she has a BIG personality and an impressive amount of zoom energy stored in that tiny body.
She’s currently eating frozen/thawed fuzzy mice like a pro, which we love to see. When you first approach her, she may give you a little hissy “Back up, human!” performance — but it’s all bark (well… hiss) and no bite. Once you’re actually handling her, she can be speedy, but nothing a confident keeper can’t manage.
With consistent handling and attention, she should settle in beautifully. Her exact age is unknown, but she’s estimated to be a young adult with plenty of years ahead of her to grow, mellow out, and become someone’s adorable, slightly dramatic sidekick.
If you’re looking for a hognose with personality and potential, #11 is ready to shine.

Pretty Girl - Hognose
-
Hognose #14 is another lovely girl from the same large surrender, and she came in with a personality that can only be described as 70% spice, 100% adorable. She is absolutely full of sass — lots of dramatic hissing, plenty of attitude, and zero actual biting. She’s all theater, no fangs.
She’s been eating frozen/thawed fuzzy mice like a champ here at the rescue, which is always a huge win. With handling, she’s got some pep in her step, but nothing a confident keeper can’t manage. And with regular, gentle interaction, she’s going to mellow out beautifully as she learns that humans aren’t so bad after all.
If you’re looking for a hognose with personality, spunk, and a whole lot of charm packed into a small wiggly body, #14 is your girl. She’s dramatic in all the best ways and absolutely ready for a home that appreciates her flair.

Flash - MBK
-
Flash may be named after speed, but at 16 years old he's learned that life is best enjoyed one meal at a time. This handsome male Mexican Black Kingsnake has a beautiful dark coloration that leans more rich chocolate than jet black, giving him a unique look that sets him apart from the crowd.
Like most kingsnakes, Flash has never met a meal he wasn't excited about. His enthusiasm for food is one of his favorite hobbies, and he's always eager to see if dinner has arrived. He has been a reliable eater throughout his time in rescue and continues to thrive.
When it comes to handling, Flash likes to keep things interesting. He does have the typical kingsnake opinion that sitting still is highly overrated. Once out, he prefers to stay on the move, exploring everything around him and seeing what adventures might be waiting nearby.
Mexican Black Kingsnakes are known for their intelligence, hardy nature, and curious personalities, and Flash is no exception. Despite being a senior snake, he remains active, alert, and full of character.
If you're looking for a beautiful kingsnake with plenty of personality, a healthy appetite, and years of experience being a snake, Flash may be the perfect addition to your family.

TURTLES/TORTOISES/FROGS
Oscar
-
Oscar is a handsome young Pacman Frog with a stunning green coloration that helps him blend perfectly into his surroundings. At around a year old, he's still growing and has a healthy appetite, eagerly accepting his meals when offered.
Like most Pacman Frogs, Oscar isn't interested in being the life of the party. He prefers the finer things in life: a cozy burrow, a comfortable hiding spot, and food delivered directly to him. Much of his day is spent tucked away beneath substrate, patiently waiting for the next meal to wander within range.
Pacman Frogs are known for their round bodies, comically large mouths, and surprisingly bold feeding responses. While they don't require daily handling or interaction, they make fascinating display pets and are a great choice for someone who enjoys observing natural behaviors.
Oscar is looking for a home that understands that being a frog is hard work—and that sometimes the best way to spend the day is buried in the dirt waiting for dinner.

IGUANAS
We’ve removed our iguanas from the website—not because they’re all adopted, but because every available iguana currently in our care is an adult male who has been with us for several years. These boys are not tame, not cuddly, and not used to regular handling.
We are still full and unable to take in more iguanas at this time, and we would still love to find the right forever homes for the ones already here. They deserve to spend their lives as the kings of their own space, where they can be respected and cared for without the expectation of affection or interaction they may never want.
If you have experience with large iguanas and can offer a safe, spacious, and appropriate enclosure for one who prefers to be admired from afar, please reach out. We’re happy to talk with you about the individual animals we have and help you determine if one of them might be the right fit.
